Healthy lunch but I lost the dressing gamble.

I baked chicken breasts last night, while I was doing my workout. I made a huge salad for dinner with avocado, black beans, the chicken, lettuce, peppers, tomato, and green onions. I dressed it with olive oil and vinegar. There was so much leftover that I put it into a ziplock container for lunch today. I didn't want it to get wilted by dressing it over night.

I love to cook. I absolutely love it. I hate making salads. I am so lazy in that department. I usually grab the salad kit because I am too lazy to buy all the ingredients separately, wash them all, and put them together. Sad right? Here is the kicker, I can't stand the dressings in them. So, I have fridge full of these random dressing packets. I'm too frugal to throw them away. That's dumb because I don't like them.

Well, I stood there looking in the fridge and grabbed a random one. I held it up to my husband and said, "I wonder what this one is."

Then, I packed it into my container and said, "I guess I'll find out tomorrow."

wah wah wah wahhhhh.

It's so sweet and nasty. It tastes like straight fake sugar. Kicking myself big time. Yuck!!

I'm going to go home and dump all of them. I need to just keep oil and vinegar at work.

I was feeling really cruddy last night. I didn't want to do my workout at all. I made myself turn it on. I made myself finish it.

I woke up with my hormones all a mess. No wonder I was feeling so awful yesterday. I'm not sure what is triggering my hormone levels to go crazy, but I need to figure it out.

Hope you all have a beautiful weekend!

I hate making salads too! This looks delicious. The dressing is the best part of any salad😉 so it better be a good one!

I feel like I never use my salad ingredients before they go bad. I think I overshop and need to do more frequent smaller grocery trips- I'm hesitant to buy salad stuff because I feel like I throw half of it away because it goes bad so fast :( I'm finding I like salads without lettuce (avocado tomato and motzarella or the same with shrimp or chicken- then a little Olive oil and some seasoning suffices) and those ingredients tend to last a little longer before going bad (at least in my fridge) looks very good

@Vmartens14 butter lettuce and kale last the longest in the fridge :) I love veggies with a passion, so hardly any go bad in my house.
