I walk solo because I have to live in my body. I can only depend on my own two feet. If you make it a priority, it will get done.

I know you are right. I’m just not a self starter. Never have been. I’d say it is my main failing in life and a major detriment to my success. Im a joiner. Tomorrow is another day and I am promising myself that I will walk some even if it is alone. Hold me to it please 😊

You've got your food under control. You WILL do the same with the walking. I believe in you.

Don't start off by saying "i'm going to walk for 45 min or an hour" that deters me...what I do when I can't self start ( and I have done the same thing...dress for it and not go) what I do now is say "Just go walk around the block. That's it. Not gonna do the whole exercise thing" that usually gets me started on self motivating and getting back to a routine. Sometimes I don't dress like i'm going to exercise as it can put undo pressure on me. I just wear comfortable clothes and tell my self...going out to get some fresh air. Good luck.

My walking buddy was flaking on me too and I went without him. Don't let someone else's laziness get the better of you. Laziness is contagious!

If you have a shopping mall nearby, see if there are groups (or even just a few people) who walk there. The "weather" is consistent so that eliminates one excuse, and even if a few don't show up, there should be others to walk with you.

If you can afford it, there are some great activity monitors out there that will help with motivation, track calories, steps, and other personal health and activity markers. Every little bit helps and it all adds up! Good luck!!
