Hello FS Folks
Well, today I was wrong. I don't say that too often :) but, I was collecting my recipes for the week and I came across cauliflower rice. For folks on low carb , we mostly give up potato, rice, pasta and bread. All of the so-called side dishes.
And, these foodie Internet folks were saying that Cauliflower rice is a good substitute. Well, I have been fooled before but I tried it with Italian spices and yes it does give you the mouth feel of rice and close to the taste. Of course everyone is different!
So here is the picture ingredients:
Fresh sliced roast beef (3oz) sauteed in olive oil with mushrooms and topped with cheddar cheese
Cauliflower rice sauteed in butter with oregano, basil, white pepper and salt & pep.
Basic salad from farmers market with oil and vinegar.
If interested, just Google Cauliflower Rice and there are many recipes and directions. One person didn't even like cauliflower so she sauteed it in coconut cream - clever.
Lastly, I made Best Keto Bread but with fine almond flour. And, yes it makes a difference. It was lighter in color and rose more. But, I may go back to regular almond flour. I like the denseness and I use it more as a dessert bread with jam.
Anyway, carry on!
Bob
