After reading posts and getting invaluable info from this site I have come to the conclusion that I am probably not eating enough to have rapid weight loss. I have therefore decided to up my calorie intake and also my fat intake. I'm going to leave some skin on chicken and not strip every morsal of fat off the bacon, steak etc. I'll also try cooking with a tspn of butter or oil instead of a few sprays of oil.

I realized that excess protein can be turned into sugar /fat but thought if i wasnt eating excess it would have to be used instead of stored. Perhaps my metabolism has slowed so I'm firing it up a bit. I still lost 1 lb this week but was hoping for ar least 2.

I too have had the problem consuming enough calories. The only way I have been able to is by moving up to OWL. Good luck to ya.

Yes, it looks like you could increase your calories. The recommendation is MINIMUM 1500 for those of us on Atkins. Also check your Fat/Protein ration, your getting more protein than fat. Fat should be 60-70% of your intake on average..Protein only 25-30%, so you've got them reversed. Adding more fat helps your body burn more fat! Maybe adding butter, olive oil, and heavy creams, or fatter cuts of meat?

also stay true to drinking your water as well to keep the water retention down..i eat more fat and protein then ncarbs and cals and it seems to be working for me so imma stick with whats working for now....good luck peace dar
