Made it through Thanksgiving with loss only leveling off, but nothing gained. Now dreading Xmas calories. Our whole culture is drowning in junk food! I tried to go gift-shopping Sunday. Everywhere, retailers frantic you won't buy are pushing cookies & stuff at you.
One thing I've learned: succumb once & it's a binge. The trick is learning NOT to accept that first cookie or whatever. I used to be afraid of hurting feelings. Lately I've discovered that just saying "Thanks, I'm struggling to stick to a diet" gets some respect. Or at least an Oh poor you face, but no argument.
I can deal with that. Yay, I can! :)
