I guess I need to get back into logging every ounce of food I eat. I have been getting a little lax lately, and allowing myself to eat things that are not part of my eating plan, and I have put a few pounds back on. I guess that's what happens when I get too comfortable.
I also need to make sure I drag my butt to my kickboxing class regularly, and make sure I do my yoga in the mornings. I've been slipping on that stuff too.
It's a little frustrating, but I'm trying not to be negative. I know some of the things I have been doing wrong; I just need to dig in and get back into the routine. At least I didn't slip too far.
So, I went for a 2-mile walk today during lunch, and I feel pretty good right now. I also started using some small weights and exercise grips while I'm sitting at my desk. I feel a little silly using them, but I don't really care too much what my co-workers think. Even if I only burn 10 or 15 calories with them, that still adds up to a pound every year. Not much, but better than just sitting here Googling my own name or something when I have no work to do.
So, I think I have finally recovered from my 40-hour work day last week, and I'm ready to get back to the business of getting in shape.
I hope everyone is doing well.
P.S. If you live in New England, I just have to say, "Go Giants."
