How many calories does my ideal weight need anyway? All the calculators give different answers for 5'4, 33 year old weighing 135. Some say as low as 1200, and others say as much as 1800 calories a day! How confusing is that? So...I don't even know what my maintenance calories are for my current weight! How am I supposed to know if I'm on track or not?? I seem to be stuck at 188...

I'm exercising all the time, it seems. I don't log everything...and being a stay at home mom...it's easy to ensure I don't sit for too long. I purposely stand almost most of my day... then I do housework...adding in squats and such. I do "Your Shape: Fitness Evolved," and burn about 200 calories. I dance and burn calories. I do arm weights, leg lifts...

And I log everything...from the tsp of olive oil I cooked with, to the garlic cloves I crushed and put in my mustard greens!! I feel like I can eat this way all the time. It's VERY different then what I was doing, but is it enough to lose weight? Should I be eating much less?

I've overdone it a few times, but not to any horrific extreme. Ah well. Maybe I'm just impatient! Cheers.

You should be able to eat more than 1200 calories a day to maintain. 1800 sounds more reasonable. But you may need to play around with the calories to find your own personal caloric intake that allows you to maintain. The more you eat while you lose, the more you will be able to eat to maintain.

You are doing just fine. Your deficit is more than 1000 calories and your exercising seems pretty rigorous to me. Just have faith and continue doing what you are doing. You will see results.
