It is only day two of the 2012 year of fitness and getting back into shape. Daily, I have allotted myself 1500 calories and since today is the first day I am spending most of my time at Wesley's house I wasn't fully prepared for what we would be eating. As usual, something unhealthy. I even brought my scale to prepare to weigh out Hamburger Helper or Macaroni and Cheese, but as it is just after the end of the month of December, Wesley's mom got paid and that means it is time to go out to eat. When I would eat over here before I would plan out what I would order before we go pick it up, but being only the second day of my diet, I am not allowing myself to eat anywhere that does not provide me with nutrition facts for fear that I will derail. This morning I woke up at 10, and did not find anything to eat, I only ended up drinking a glass of orange juice that I measured out to a T: 8 ounces. I wasn't feeling hungry but I knew I had to eat something. By this time i was already at Wesley's house so I decided I would eat at Taco Bell, because they are close enough to not waste gas and cheap enough to not waste money. Plus their nutrition facts are right on their website. Easy.

Wesley tells me we are eating at mission burrito. Plenty of options at a Mexican restaurant, except for the fact that I am being strict and they have no nutrition facts. I ended up eating at McDonalds, the same place the kids always get their mcnuggets from whenever the adults eat somewhere a little too adventurous for their taste. A mcchicken and small fry. A diet coke, because I haven't been able to cut all sodas out (only the ones with calories).

So now I am here with only 260 calories left, and Wesley is sitting across from me with a foil tin full of my favorite food: Spanish Rice.

How could this happen, He ordered a bean and cheese burrito, and forgot to say a la cart. Now he has a side of rice and beans that he isn't even going to eat. That is a sin in my book. My favorite food staring me in the face, and my first thought was to eat it. My second thought, which eventually took over was to write about it and how I am not going to eat it.

Wesley and I went out running tonight because it was warm. He ran with me for the day 3 of week 1 of the couch to 5k training program. I think I am ready to move on to week 2, but week 4 is scaring me. I have decided to try everything until i can succeed in everything that the days training asks.
