Good breakfast this morning and fabulous lunch at OCB with my daughter. Got there just at the end of "Breakfast" so the meal was cheaper (YaY!)$5 and change. Drank water so n/c for beverage. Explained the Atkins diet to her while we ate and she thought I was nuts. I did explain that this is truly a "diet" and that it was a short term way to lose pounds. I know that once I get down to my goal I will be able to stay there. Today is the first day of Atkins for me. I had followed it for about a month about 15 years ago and lost 16 pounds - but then got REALLY lazy.

I will be on the induction period for 2 weeks then may ease off it for a while during my Mom's visit. Then plan to get back on the induction period for another 2 weeks. My short-term goal is to lose at least 10 pounds in the next 2 weeks. Long term goal is to lost 50 pounds before June, 2012. That way I will be the right size for fittings for my other daughter's wedding September, 2012.
