For some people, this will seem like TMI. But a lot of women will understand. For some reason, that time of the month is a struggle with bloating ticking the scale up and cravings that sometimes cause weight gain that week. So it will be understandable why I am so happy that there was no bloat causing an increase in the scale and so far, no weight gain. In the past, I would work so hard to lose a couple lbs and then gain it all back that one week. Some years it seemed like I kept losing and gaining the same three pounds all year long. But over the last two years, I've lost 21 lbs. Seems low for two years. But it is is better than being stuck. Now I'm really hoping to improve as I really dedicate myself to getting my A1C down and getting rid of the weight. I didn't really take it seriously until I started getting fuzzy vision in the afternoons from blood sugar spikes.

I remember those days; so long ago, BUT I wish I had a normal level of hormones again. I think I would even be ok with the little bloat I had which was about 0.5 kilos in water weight every month. 21 pounds regardless of how long it took to get off is still a loss.

Every single month, I tack on anywhere between 4 and ohhh, about 7 pounds or so during this time. It is extremely mentally taxing. I always tell myself I'm going to stay off the scale that week, but I never mean it. I get on it, see the weight increase, and feel awful. The whole thing's ridiculous. It feels like I put in a good 3 weeks worth of serious effort, only to see a severe increase. I won't even get into the insane cravings, I am like a lunatic. I try to really buckle down during that week, I keep my happy ass out of the kitchen, lol! The good news is once it's done, my weight always plummets, especially if I was able to push through that week without eating everything in sight.

My problem was that I wouldn't lose it right after. So it was real weight and not just bloating weight. Even when I tried not to snack on whatever I craved.

I am really sorry to hear that, I wonder what the weight was if it isn't the typical water weight gain? That would be very frustrating to be losing weight and then every month gaining it back and then having to re-take it off again.
