oh boy...where should I start


I just got off the phone w/ Papa Johnz and I ordered a pizza...

I'm already feeling guilty...will this one time cause me to gain weight??? I hope not...I'm a bit worried about it...to say the least...I may not lose weight as fast but it'll get done...I feel like I have to give myself some leadway ya know...if I don't...I'll fail for sure...

We're all here for you, but you need to understand a few things. Why are you not here for yourself? If you're going to falter on this particular diet repeatedly, you're going to do more than gain weight, you're going to seriously hurt your body. The only reason you can eat all the fat on this diet is because your body burns extra fats on the diet. This takes diligence and time. If you falter at an early stage, it doesn't work. Period. It just ends up raising your cholesterol and making you even less healthy. Now, you've been on for a month, and you have experience with this before...why go down that road again? Once and awhile, you may have a few too many carbs, you may even cave in and eat one item you just shouldn't....but a pizza? You've gotta want it more. Think about it. Learn to be in better commune with your body. Too early. Yes, you need to bend, but not on this diet. It's dangerous. We're all in this together. Keep strong. Long haul.

Throw it away!!!! Don't eat it it wil easily set you back a week if not two. You will have to start from the very begining form a metabolic pont of view. Dont eat it throw it away and let the cost of the pizza be you punishment.

"...will this one time cause me to gain weight???" You already know the answer to this. It's all over the book. Yes, if you are on Induction and you cheat - you will knock yourself out of keytosis immediately and you start over metabolically speaking. Atkins Induction is not a regimen that can be cheated. Doing so not only stunts your loss and often causes gains but it is incredibly hard on your body to do that. All those fats you have been consuming were only ok because you limit your carbs so your body burns the fats (and your fat) for fuel. Having a pizza resets your metabolism to say, "oh ok, so use this pizza crust and these simple sugars in the sauce for immediate fuel and take all this fat and pack it away on the hips". But like I said, I know you know this because you read the book. I'm not coming down on you in a "bad girl" kind of way, but supporting you. 1/2 the time, support is complimentary, 1/2 the time its taking your friend and shaking them a bit because you support your friend's GOAL. I appreciate and completely support your goal ... you can do it!

this is what I love about this community!!! You guys were right there to help me! I really wanted that damn pizza. lol. You guyz are great...absolutely great...while I did blow it on the pizza, I had only one slice, cut away a good bit of the crust and had a big spinach salad before I ate that slice so I wouldn't still be hungry and end up eating more than I should have...thankz again
