Could someone please explain this kcal stuff to me. I reach my goals most days of under 50. I feel like I should just be melting away with what my numbers on here tell me. The scale showed 262 this morning. I did take my measurements when i started this thing, but I haven't remeasured yet.. that comes on Thursday. Sometimes it feels like things fit differently, sometimes it don't.

Hi Teacup, I just took a look at your food diary...looks like you are trying a low carb diet, right? I do LCHF with Intermittent Fasting (IF) and while I am NO EXPERT, here are my two cents worth. :) Maybe try substituting a more lo carb chocolate treat for the chocolate milk each day. There are some great lo-carb chocolate fat bomb recipes on the internet that are sure to satisfy your chocolate needs. Those 30 carbs each day are doing you in. Also, as crazy as it sounds, I am sure folks on here will agree when I say you may have more success by upping your fat each day. Just make sure it is good fat... try some macadamia nuts or avocado. You can do this! We are all here to help each other!! Also.... wait for those new measurements... that is a way better judge of success in my opinion.

Thank you ImLaura, for the advice. I did find a lower carb substitute for my hot cocoa mix. It's a light version of the same brand. It's hot chocolate mix that I put in my coffee. I have to say...it still pretty sweet. Been thinking about just cutting out the coffee all together (I only have 2 cups a day anyway) so I might still do that too. I generally don't eat much during the day...I never have...so the intermittent fasting is no problem for me...especially on days I work...I am a cook...so eating food at work...well, it just doesn't happen. :) Yesterday's entry is a typical day of eating for me. Only things different are that I drink absolutely NO soda and I haven't eaten any breads or potatoes since I started this thing. I'm a little afraid of the high fat part, because of my cholesterol levels already, but I figure...and I'm sure I'm wrong...that if I can get some of this weight off, and be able to move more freely and with a lot less pain, I will be able to work on that a little closer.
