ShyGuy's Journal, 16 Mar 16

I went off the beaten path, slightly, this evening. Someone brought in some fried chicken wings, to church, today. They were hard to resist, and I had some, but I limited myself to three. Considering I can actually put away a dozen or so; I'd say I did pretty good. I also avoided the doughnuts, someone else brought in, like the plague. It cost me a few extra carbs, but it won't be hard for me to get back on track, without missing a beat. I slipped up a bit, but I'll be back on my feet again tomorrow. :-)

They were restaurant, flour coated, fried chicken wings. They seemed to be lightly coated, but nonetheless coated, and that makes them not low carb. I can't say, for sure, how much flour was on them, so the nutritional info I went with is an approximation based on what's in the fatsecret data base. I'd rather have an approximation, than no info at all. Thanks for the support in avoiding the doughnuts. :-) My eating is strictly based on the atkins nutritional program/ approach; which is basically low carb high fat.

Pfft! Tomorrow's another day. It's all good. You got it out of your system, did well with the doughnuts (something I failed at yesterday), and more importantly you KNOW what you did and accept the consequences. I'd say you're ready for the next fight.
