Does anyone know what this is? Once I started to stabilize at a weight I subconsciously self sabotage this time I saw myself do it like I’m outside my body just watching from a distance.

The body and the mind crave homeostasis. As soon as big shifts start to happen, I feel like your organism is fighting to get back to where you were before. That’s why losing weight is such a mind sport. We gotta use the mind to tell the body what to do, even if it goes against what we’re grown accustomed to.

Yeah, I recognize what you’re describing. I had a few issues that I found fixes for, but lost the strategy over time and now I’m trying to reintegrate. It’s like a healthy society losing its moral compass almost, just a big WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT? Good luck!

@tom that’s exactly what I say!! WHY WOULD I DO THAT!
@thicc thanks I’m gonna have to try to tackle it from a mental POV rather than a diet POV and see if it helps.

I did that for years. I still don't know what clicked. I think for me, i need to always stay in ketosis. My brain works better.

@jenna thanks. I hope I find what works for me soon. The excuse of slow metabolism and menopause isn’t working anymore for me. Cause it’s not gonna change my weight. It’s been 5 yrs struggle and I did hit close to my original goal in the beginning but gained it all back. So it wasn’t sustainable.

P$M, I can relate. I went into instant full menopause after surgery in my late 40s. Living hell! I got on bio identical but that doesn't help lose weight. Just kept me sane, so I could focus. It took me having a heart issue to get super serious. You'll do it, just don't give up.

@jen thanks. I too went into menopause because of surgery and suddenly my body wasn’t mine anymore. I realize I lucky I was before to never have to think about food. I use to eat anything and had no issues maintaining weight between 127-133 then bam… it’s like reverse puberty. I could eat the same thing one day and lose and the next day gain. I wonder if it is like puberty. There are days that my metabolism is slower.
