Can you say, S-A-B-O-T-A-G-E? Doesn't it just iritate you when family members think they know more about the low carb WOE than you do? I had to take my dad to a couple of doctors appointments, today. Afterwards, he insisted that we stop at Subway and get an Italian sub sandwich, to split. He then said "Go ahead and eat your half". I said "No, I'll have to remove the bread first"; to which he replied, "Oh, that bread isn't going to hurt you, just this once". I refused again, saying "I'm not going to mess up my weight loss over the bread in that sandwich". He then gave up, and we went our merry way. Last week he did the same thing, with a corned beef sandwich. It's amazing that, the same people, who will tell you, you need to lose weight, will also try to wreck your efforts to make it happen. But not this time! Not ever! Incidently, my half ended up as part of a dinner salad, without the bread. ShyGuy wins again!

Good for you!!! Stick to your guns and eventually (maybe) they might get the message and leave you alone. Either way you are making yourself a stronger person for it.

Great job staying focused. The same thing happens with my family...."oh just have a lil rice, it'll be okay...."yeah right. Don't let saboteurs gain control ; )

You stuck to your guns, good for you. I am sticking to mine too. I told our houseguests " you are on your own, here is the food, you fix it the way you want" Tonight I seperated Jim's and my salad, made potatoes for them ( left from before the new WOE), and fixed cauliflower for Jim and myself. We all shared the salmon. These folks are staying with us while ministering in this area in different churches. They are great guests and fully understand the we are totally SERIOUS about this diet.
