I am on Levothyroxine tablets. Levothyroxine is a replacement for a hormone normally produced by your thyroid gland to regulate the body's energy and metabolism. The doctor prescribes a level that normally keeps the metabolism at a lower level than a normal metabolism. The less you are prescribes the lower your metabolic rate. Well my doctor has just reduced my prescription. This means that my metabolism will slow further and with it weight loss. Just what I need over Christmas!

Hey jockoT, sorry to hear that as your doing so well. The only thing I can suggest is to look at your usual food to see how much fat is in it, I know you stick to your rdi and then less an extra 200, sometimes low cal doesn't always mean low fat, I try and stick to no more than 5gr per 100gr of saturated fat, just a thought, don't forget your dancing too that will help, I so hope it doesn't hinder your amazing progress x

I do eat quite a bit of fat. Today I have had 70 gms. One third of my calories! I seldom eat low fat food. They tend to replace fat with sugar, in a lot of things.
