Family had a wonderful dinner for my birthday on Sunday with seafood. Snow crab, mussels, shrimp, scallops, potatoes, corn, and kielbasa cooked in two huge pots and fried oysters as appetizer. I did eat one cheddar roll. Had enough for leftovers Monday night and will have some for Tuesday night. I left the corn alone but didn't hold back when it came to the seafood. Son baked a chocolate cake with chocolate icing. Yep, we all know I enjoyed myself. We all had a good time. GKs were adorable with their hugs, kisses and "Happy Birthdays". Now I need to work off Halloween night weight gain, GS BD weight gain, and now my BD dinner. Also, there is a couple more BDs coming up before Thanksgiving. Even with my best intentions, it is a challenge.
Life is too short not to enjoy celebrations. Just have to buckle down between each of them.

Wow that dinner sounds amazing. Birthdays are to be celebrated, just try to do as it sounds like you already are, adjust during the "in between" times.

Wow, that dinner sounds sooo good! I have to get me some scallops and mussels and snow crab. I have shrimp but did not think of the others as being mixed and so low carb. Thanks for the idea.

YUM -- Now THAT's what I call a celebratory meal!! Makes me think of the seafood boils my family prepares at the beach every summer . . .

Thank you Glen! Doesn't seem to be much point if you can't enjoy the good times :) Thanks Tamarah Jo and jmb3450! I'm not always successful at my adjustments but I never give up! Thanks HCB and wholefoodnut. The little darlings really went out of their way for me. I knew about the oysters. Had no idea about the rest. It was fantastic. Love seafood because I do the "see food diet" without so much guilt :) It was really good dboza. I had seen that mix in some of the seafood restuarants so it was a huge surprise to have it at DDs. Thanks losinit1655, it was! Thank you Sugar Waffle for the Happy Birthday! Love being able to celebrate another birthday and with my family!!!

Kattay, you know my theory that you plan won't work unless you can live your life and have your WOE work into it, that includes the fun parts as well as everyday. Happy Birthday!!! Thoughtful family going low carb for you. I missed saying that when I posted from work.

Thank you wholefoodnut for the BD wishes! So true, your WOE does have to fit into your life. DD and her hubby are trying to lose weight too now and get healthier.
