I used to garden all of the time. Then, I ended up getting chickens, ducks, rabbits, & guineas. I can't even keep a peach on the tree these days. They all free range. Sometimes, I want to pin them up so badly, but my conscience won't let me. I have such a love/hate relationship with them...lol.

The smoke is bad in the Chicagoland area as well. My garden is doing well, peas and lettuce are ready, the green beans will be ready soon. Pumpkins planted for the fall and the fig trees have baby figs on them

Agree on the sunrises and sunsets; kind of eerie. I no longer have a veg garden, only flower gardens. Since the kids moved on it was just too much work for the two of us. Yours however is quite impressive.

I’m so sorry that you’re dealing with that. We were dealing with a couple of weeks ago in Rhode Island and as well as in New York City. Everything turned a weird yellowish orange color. It’s quite tough. Please don’t work out there without a mask it’s quite dangerous and unhealthy. I’m sure you already know that. I hope it goes away, but your garden looks amazing.
