Back in August of 2022, I found out that I was pre-diabetic with an A1c of 5.7. I was shocked, but I walked out of the doctor’s office and hit it hard. By November, I was out of the pre-diabetic range with an A1c of 5.3. Since then, I’ve been continuing with my lifestyle changes of low carb/healthy foods, exercise, lots of water, vitamins/supplements, etc. My chronic pain has disappeared, my cholesterol/triglycerides are normal, and I feel good. But today is extra special- since I’ve been taking care of myself and making my health a priority, I’ve been loosing weight. I started off at 142 pounds. At five feet tall, that’s not a healthy BMI. But today, I weighed in at 110 pounds. At 55 years old, I weigh what I weighed at 19 years old on my wedding day. I did not go into this for weight loss. This was about changing my future, so that I could be the healthiest me possible- the weight loss is just a bonus! Please keep going- all of the changes you’re making now, will get you where you want to be. You’re worth it.
