Tuesday! Its a lovely sunny day!
I want to thank everyone who commented on my weigh in yesterday. I really appreciate every ones input!

That's one of the main reason's I come here. The unconditional support from those that are in this journey with me! I can come here and tell you things I might hesitate to tell some one here in the real world. It's because most of us have been there at some point in our lives. Some of us have been on every conceivable diet, fad diet and eating plan under the sun. We all know what we have to do. We just need the support sometimes! Then we in turn support and help someone else!

That's FS for me. I had just a little bit of a rebellion over the weekend, and I know what I did. I also know what it cost for that, and now that it's over (more tantrum than rebellion, lol) I can get back on track and do what I know I have to do!! Sometimes we need that little break, that little revolution, that little stamping tantrum. If we allow it when it first starts, and not try to stifle it too much,it will be a small blip on the journey, and not a huge battle later on!!

I do not eat only certain foods. I eat what I want. That includes cake, candy, chocolate, icecream, etc. I just make sure that when I eat it, I really ENJOY it. I take time to eat it. I savor every bite. You would be surprised at how satisfied you are at the end!! There are many times that I start to eat a piece of cake, or pie, and I take my time eating it, and enjoy it, that by the time I get to that last bite, it is usually so sweet and cloying, I'm done, and not wanting to finish.

I apply that method to everything I eat now. I try to enjoy the meal, and actually take time to taste! That is most of the problem with those of us that used to eat so fast we never tasted what we were eating!!

So...today's suggestion is SLOW DOWN!! Enjoy that meal! Learn to taste again! Don't just shovel it in!! Take the time to help your body digest what you are eating. The longer it take you to eat a meal, the less of that meal you eat!! Once you can slow down, eating appropriate size portions will be a snap!

One of my favorite things to do when I eat out, is usually to tell the server to either bring me a take home box, or to put half of my meal in a take home box. That helps so much!! That way you don't have to deal with what some of us older people deal with, the not eating everything on your plate guilt!! If its not on there, you don't feel bad about eating everything that's there!! I am starting to tell them from the beginning to bring me a box. Then I take the time to put at least half of my meal in it. If I'm still a little hungry, I might dip into the box, but most of the time, I don't. Just remember to take your time. You win in the end!!

Well, I'm off!! I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!
