Military diet huh... I remember those when first in the navy. Mostly ate oranges - didn't have much money at that time. I still don't know how the enlisted folks make it on the little amount they are paid - especially since it is below poverty level. Can you imagine?

My son is a midrange E5, his base pay is $3600.00, housing allowance is $1650.00,and rations is $400.00. That's $5600.00 a month. I think that's pretty darn good. My husband and I are both Navy Vets who you the VA and are treated great.
