Hi Samantha, I tend to retain water sometimes myself. Since I've started the Atkins the swelling is gone. It could be because of water intake and the lemon juice I drink since I've been on Atkins. I have heard that drinking more water actually helps get rid of the excess water. It doesn't make much sense, but supposedly it's so. Also, I squeeze lemon juice in my water at least once a day. That is supposed to be a natural diarretic(SP), and help with water retention also. Just a couple hints!
