Keep at it! Might be water retention from a high carb day or cycle related.

Hi, I don't know if this will help. So since I started weighing my food, I noticed that what I thought was a certain amount of calories was actually more than that. With measuring spoons and cups, you don't always get an accurate amount. However when you weigh it, it's almost guaranteed that it's the amount it should be. Also, someone on here said that it takes more than a month for your body to start showing progress with counting calories. Keep on working hard. Don't give up.

@rozana thanks I have been using cups for the options that have cup measurments and weight for those that don't. But wil stick to just the weight now

@thatphatgirl - boo I typed a long message and it got lost 😭 I would recommend that you get yourself a small kitchen scale - the difference in what I thought my portion sizes could be, vs what they should be, was huge 🙈 and as much as one would like, using the cup measurements is just not as accurate as we'd like. Then I suggest you ditch the weighing yourself for a bit - sometimes it just discourages you, particularly if you really hoping for big drops and don't get it - it messes with my head. Try only weigh once a month, and in the mean time use a measuring tape and write down your cms and total circumference, and then do that weekly and check your differences

7500 calories = 1 kg fat … so it takes allot longer than you think, and out bodies are very complex especially if you are a woman … your hormones, water retention And digestion plays a massive role in your weight .. I can pick up 3kg of water weight in a day easily… but yes weighing your food makes a big difference and being mindful of sauces and oils u use to cook the food plays a massive role in your calorie intake. You are doing good … it always takes a bit longer than what we want its not about losing weight in a certain time but about gaining healthy habits that you can sustain your whole life
