So while on this LCHF journey as a nurse I run into so many people who "know" better ways than this plan. I get to hear how unhealthy it is and so on... Then I tell them that I WAS 360 lbs at one point and that I'm getting healthier every day with leveled blood sugars, reduced hypertension, lowered cholesterol and over-all improved health. I just get sick of being expected to explain my WOE . It works for ME! :) now, I've got to push through my newest hurdle..., THE GYM :0

Way to go, just had a stroke at age 57, blood work & cholesterol was fine. Getting that excess weight off is very important. Luckily I had no impact from the stroke, but now it's time to shed the rest of the weight I wanted to lose!!! Fat Secret has worked great for me, had already lost 30 pounds last year and another 20 to go!!! Stick with this plan, it works great!!!

I understand your frustration regarding LCHF and having to defend our eating plan! Lots of crazy looks! Sometimes I just tell
People I'm watching portions carefully, much easier! Regardless, keep up your good work. About the gym, take it nice and easy, build up to your goal, but don't push too hard! Good luck! Just don't give up!

It is my usual response to just say "low carb" and often times that ends it. However, there are times when someone notices what Im eating and comments. I try to ignore it. Sometimes it just gets old ;)

Your WOE is your business, isn't it? If the fats are healthy - it is a great food plan. I am transitioning to more of a LCHF program myself.
