I do a lot Food Prep for the freezer.
I take a bag of spinach leaves and lay them flat on a cookie sheet
and freeze them and then store in a plastic zip-lock baggie.
It makes it so much easier when you are cooking to take 1/4 cup.

I prepare and freeze vegetables, fruits, berries, and meat portions.
When I get meat or fish - I portion all of it and store those portions
in freezer bags...and use masking tape to record portion size & calories.

When I open a large can of - eg: chick peas - I freeze half for later use.
I do the same with other canned products as well - freeze half for later.
Preparing - proportioning - and freezing makes it all so much easier.

I only have a fridge freezer - I lost my freezer - so I freeze items like spinach on a cookie sheet and then put the spinach in a freezer bag. I do the same with measured quarter cup portions of cream corn, spaghetti sauce - I put plastic wrap on the cookie sheet and measure it out in little heaps and then freeze them and place them into a freezer bag. It works great,
