You might try to find a chain restaurant that has similar food. THen you can make a good guess to the calories. I think calorieking.com has a bunch of different restaurants and you might get some information there.

eating out is such a chore, the only places that give you nutrional info is fast food restuarants... all other restuarants it's a mystery and a lot of times is calorie loaded because they aren't advertising nutrional info...
It sucks. I feel your pain.

http://caloriecount.about.com/ has some listings. What bums me out is that many common recipes, like Egg Foo Young, have so many variant spellings (fu, yung, yong) that finding the listing at all might take a few minutes.
