jamieD i finally made the buck wheat stuffed peppers. bloody tasty!!

Very nice 👌🏻, And with super healthy mushrooms 👏🏻 Better then rice I think.

I'm so glad you posted that thank you, I used 40g dried buckwheat and 3 mushrooms. 1 pepper was enough for me, worked it out at about 270 cal. I used chicken oxo and smokey citrus seasoning with the buckwheat, peas and sweetcorn and cooked the mushrooms with fry light, garlic and chilli. You are 100% its so filling. I am gutted though as I have a sinus infection.. Still :( 😞 and my jaw has gone so so painful to eat that I only managed half a pepper which sucks as it was so nice but at least I'm full up. Definitely a weekly dinner for me now thanks Jamie. I will try that other wheat at some time too. I agree soo much better than rice and I didn't burn it yay!

Gutted for you that you could only eat one ! I normally use buckwheat as a rice replacement on anything I cook, (except yesterdays dinner that was chicken and rice, pic posted!) it also seems to fill me up more then rice does, because of the fibre in it. 🤤
