〠Friday here. This week has been stellar. But I'm a wee bit nervous because this is a weekend and because tomorrow evening I'm going to my friend's son's Bar Mitzvah. I'm going to really try to concentrate on the music, dancing, and socializing, and not on the meal. Those big event meals are never that great. But for some reason, I get bored, and then I eat. The worst, of course, is the open bar. I have to stick to diet Coke and lemon and not go for the mixed drinks! I love Tequila!
I have to save that for my birthday, which is in a couple of weeks. My best friend is giving me a little party at a Mexican restaurant. I'll have a Margarita or two that night. But I really want it to be my one and only night of indulgence. Oh, please give me strength to stick to the chicken breast or fish tomorrow night and to avoid the hors d'oeuvres, bread roll, dessert, and the mashed potatoes! I'm guessing! :)
