I am constantly craving something salty and potato chips are my downfall 🙆🏾‍♀️ what healthy alternative can I substitute? I don’t like nuts, I thought maybe biltong would be a better alternative

Popcorn is not too bad. I am like you, i never crave any sweet stuff… but chips or anything savoury is my downfall. I started eating popcorn and biltong. Peanuts give me pimples.

Thanks hun, I’ll go stock up on popcorn. Yesterday I gobbled up a whole pack of chips (100g) a little under 500 calories consumed 😣 I need to do better.

I eat a lot of freshly made chips made in the oven instead of frying it. I just lightly grease an oven pan with a teaspoon of olive oil, I slice a large potatoe to the thickness I prefer and I make the fries in the oven for about 30- 35 mins. I can promise you, it's so satisfying and so tasty, it's pretty close to fried chips! Low on fat!

biltong. we like ostrich. its lean. vita snacks (little crispy rice crackers in lots of flavours and low cal) we have them with fat free cottage cheese mixed with black pepper. pretzels. air fry popcorn (don't make it with oil, because it blows the Cal's out the water). I'm also more salty than sweet but I love chocolate so I also do Lindt dark chocolate with sea salt

consume popcorns (Not microwave). they are high in fiber and low in calories and remember fiber takes a while to digest which will aid burning more calories as the digestive time is a bit longer Nd you will feel fuller for longer. thank me late

Protein makes one feel full for longer. When I do 2 boiled eggs and one Weetbix in the morning I can feel the difference compared to skipping breakfast other days.

I also crave something salty. Rather than potato chips I cut baby marrows into thin strips and spice them, then bake them on an oven proof tray until they are crispy. Its very yummy

I can also not put a packet of crisps down. Found low fat crisps at woolies or the multiseed popped rice salt and vinegar... less guilt less calories and ok for every now and again 😝

Trigz chips are great for the craving

Keep the chips, just factor it into your eating plan. We should enjoy this journey. Lots of people will scream "junk food" or "high GI." If you're still in a caloric deficit, you'll be fine.
