Grandma Tam's Journal, 18 Jun 14

Tonight was very disappointing. I had planned to cook dinner at 6 and unfortunately our power went out due to a storm in the area around 5:45pm and wasn't restored until after 7:30pm. Being hungry and unable to cook I ate a banana nut muffin that had been calling my name all day long and I had been ignoring it. UGH! Anyhow, once the power was back on I still had to cook for my family. They wanted ham and cheese subs so I fixed those for them and I opted for scrambled eggs, with 2 oz. of thinly sliced ham and 2 slices of wheat toast. I still came in under my 1500 calorie maximum, but would have made better food choices if I wouldn't have had to wait so long to cook dinner. Oh well, no sense in kicking myself, tomorrow is a new day! I was able to get a 1.25 mile walk in this evening and that was refreshing!
