Lenachka's Journal, 30 Mar 09

I'm feeling pretty determined these days -- I lost about a pound for sure. A few days ago I weighed myself and I was down 3, but I'm skeptical because it was in the morning and I hadn't eaten yet. I've been really anxious about weighing myself; I don't want to gain anything so I'm just nervous and avoiding it.

I didn't eat too healthy yesterday - a hot pocket, and about 1000 calories of pasta+sauce at night. I did eat a veggie sub at Subway, but the pasta and hot pocket counteracted it.

Good news though: my mom finally convinced me to join LA fitness with her. I'd been going to the rec center at school, and I think I may still continue that between classes, but I was weary of spending $25 a month for LA. However, I went as a guest on Saturday and was really impressed with their equipment and would love to try out their cycling, pilates, or abs workout classes. The pool treated me well too! Anyways, going to start going there a lot more and hope to see results.

I was looking at the different 'weight' supplements like fiber capsules and such at work yesterday (Walgreens), and was wondering if any of them actually help...anyone taking any supplements that actually boost their metabolism?

You are to weigh yourself in the morning 1st thing - that is your true weight. Just be consistent w/it. Pick a time of the day that best works for you and stick w/weighing yourself at that time every time you weigh yourself. I just read somewhere that during different times of the day you will actually weigh more than others. That's why they say to do it first thing in the morning.

Yes your weight can fluctuate 5-10 pounds in a matter of 30 minutes for women and 10-20 pounds in as little as 5 minutes for men, so weighing first thing is best. Hey there is one good thing about being a woman. Anyways about your supplements. I take the Mega-T Green Tea supplements once a day. Not so much for the increase in metabolism but for the increase energy. I just need a boost to get me through the day without making me feel jittery. I have hypoglycemia so I have to be careful with what I take, and it works. My husband took it for about 2 weeks and lost almost 15 pounds without adding exercise, but he has a very physical job. I also took the slim quick drink mix one day and could feel a difference in my energy, but had the jittery feeling. Stacker 3 with chitosan says it will increase your metabolism and doesn't have the jittery side effect the Stacker 2 does. I hope this helps. I would suggest that if you watching what you eat, and exercising, that if you take a supplement to take one a day for about a week and see how you feel and check your results before adding any more as it can affect your sleeping at night and then you will feel dependant upon taking something to get you through the day. Good Luck!
