Success feels really good. I’ve had a good week and I’m really close to meeting my next goal. I needed some validation this morning so I took a bit of a risk. I reached for a pair of “back of the closet” jeans. The ones that you had hope for but haven’t come out for a long while. When I put them away there was at least an inch gap between button and buttonhole. It got much worse from there. It was a risk because I know they still may not close. Or be wearable even if they do. But I needed to try. This morning I pulled them on, they were stiff and didn’t really seem to want to be put into use again; like they were resisting the Spring waking from hibernation. They seemed really small as I pulled them over my legs. I really wasn’t sure if this would work. I chided myself for being so mentally dramatic and stood up and pulled them on. I pulled the waistband close and the button reached with just the normal denim stretch. Zipper was flat as I closed it. I ventured to the mirror, no weird bulging or Poppin-fresh like rolls. I am so happy this morning over something so vain please.
