mars2kids's Journal, 17 Mar 14

I made it through the weekend and stayed on plan. I know entering all of my food helped a lot. Now if I can just stick with doing that every weekend for a while it will become routine. My hubby is trying to eat better also and that helped because we talked about how hard it is to keep from eating junk on the days we're off work, that really encouraged me to do better because he's trying to do better. I've told him for a long time to track his calories and measure out what he's eating and he's finally started doing it and he can see how much he was underestimating what he was eating. He sees how unhealthy his dad is and knows if he doesn't do something he's going to be on the same path.

I feel really good coming out of the weekend and eating better and getting my workouts done. Now this week I'm going to do the same. Someone brought cookies into the office, I've already added it to my food journal for the day, but I'm going to try to resist them. Darn cute, St. Patrick's Day cookies!!

It's supposed to be 70 today, so I'm going to get a run in today. It will be super windy, but at 70 at least the temp will be good. I may only get one more run in this week after today because the temps are supposed to go down and we could get some moisture. We'll see I'm going to play it by ear and do my DVD's if I can't run. I actually shaved a little time off my run on Saturday, which felt really good.

I stuck with most of my goals last week. Here are my new ones:
Exercise at least 4 days
Eat at least 1 fruit per day
Eat at least 3 veggies per day
Drink at least 70 oz. of water
Plan my weekend meals before the weekend

Loving the weekly goals! I might have to start doing that because it really seems to be working for you. (: Good job on making it through the weekend, and I'm glad to hear about your hubby!
