Another beautiful sun filled morning!!

It's pleasantly warm this morning too! I adore spring! My tulips are starting to come up too, and I'm thrilled!

Since I'm up, I decided to change my breakfast routine. Instead of just coffee, I added about 4 ounces of ham, and a whole wheat, whole grain bagel with peanut butter. That should hold me over until lunch, and I won't be looking for something to munch. That little munch monster has reappeared, and I really have to blast that thing in the butt!! Mid morning munchies are just not a good thing for me to have!!

I have been watching everyone's journals, even though I haven't been recording my adventures of this journey. I see that a few of my buddies here use kettle bells to exercise with. I googled it, and have decided to more or less make my own bell, of a sort!! I think I'll take one of my flour sack dishtowels, and wrap it around one of my bowling balls, and see how that works out! Can't hurt! Well, it could, but I promise to be very careful!!

I have been so lax in working out at home, but when I can get to the gym, I'm all gung ho!! I have 5 pound leg weights that I haven't really used. They may end up being my kettle bell precurser! Try a routine with a 5 pound weight, then go to both weights together for a 10 pound round, then work with that a little bit, and then see what I can do with the 15 pound bowling ball! I just have to remember to keep it moderate, and to not get out of breath!

I told the hubbs, that I'm feeling so much better, that I may want to try to bowl again!! The back and knees aren't killing me like they had been, and I really need to get back in shape before I try again! Of course, I need to get a new pair of shoes, as I thought I was finished bowling, so gave mine away to a girl who needed them! I really enjoyed that time together with my hubby. I want to participate again, not just sit at the table and watch everyone else have a blast!

I also am going to consider getting a consultation from my doc, about maybe some sort of either laser surgery or something to deal with my little turkey neck! It wasn't really bothering me until this morning...My little princess came over and gave me a hug, then reached up and gently poked my little turkey flap!! She said, Lu...what is this?? It looks a little funny, and its really soft!! **Sigh** Uh, well, that is just some stretched out old lady skin sweetheart, that's why its soft, and its there because I was pretty fat...hehehe, whats a gal to say?? She's so precocious, and she's 4. God love her!!

Well, I'm going to head off after that, and see what trouble I can get into today!! Have a fantastic day everyone!!!

Lu =^.^=

Do be careful with the home made kettle bells, form is very important when you are working with weights and we don't need any pulled muscles or thrown out backs :-) Glad to hear you are well! Enjoy the sunshine!

Kettle bells are wonderful, but you have to be so careful with your form. I began with l0lb. I got a book on 50+ for kettle bells. I do believe I overdid it. Backed off for a while I ice and stretch the arm(s). A new fun way to exercise.

Am still laughing - am picturing the amount of damage I could do with one of those bowling balls in a bag!

I think you are doing great! I can't speak to the kettle bell idea as I don't currently use them. Have a great day!
