Hello everyone! I'm starting my day a little later than usual, that's going to catch up with me lol. When I got my daughter on the bus at 6:30 the power went out, so I made the little one go back to bed with me and we got up at nine. Much needed napping in.
Legs are a little sore from yesterdays workout, but they really should be. I had planned on doing my 5K on the treadmill but the treadmill I prefer (in the back) was taken by some guy walking like 1/2mph. So I improvised and started on the elliptical for thirty minutes at resistance level 6. When that was up the gentleman was still slowly strolling on the treadmill, so I went to the weight room and did some upper and lower body strength training. Finally the treadmill was available, I used it for a total of twenty five minutes and got at least fifteen minutes of jogging in. Not nearly what I wanted, but I only have so much time at the gym and I feel like I used it well. Again, my workout 'buddy' bailed lol.
Plan for today? I would like to get in a kettle bell workout, but I also need to be studying for my pre-entrance exam. I got a book at the library specifically for practical nursing pre-entrance exams, and I'm studying it like there's no tomorrow. I'm taking the test next Monday morning. I am feeling much more confident now that I'm freshening up my skills. Thank you all for the wonderful supportive comments on yesterdays journal :-) This is a huge life change for me, I'm very excited.
Still kicking ass in the healthy eating department, maintaining good deficits and keeping my macros where I want them. Weight was holding steady today which is a good sign as I'm usually up after a workout due to water retention.
If I hit one-derland this week I just might go donate all this hair I've been growing out for fifteen months. Or maybe I'll just take a couple inches off and keep growing lol, I'm so undecided. It would kind of represent all the drastic changes I've made in the last year, wouldn't it? Ah, we will see!
Stay thirsty, my friends! (by working out, of course)
