I'm craving junk today. I really wanted to run and get fast food for lunch, but I'm resisting and only eating what I have with me. I need to figure out some good higher protein snacks. I have greek yogurt and cheese sticks, which are okay when I'm at work, but I would like something different for at home. I guess I'll be searching for recipes this weekend.
I'm determined to get all my workouts in this week. I will get my recovery workout (thank goodness) done tonight, then I have to push myself to get workouts in this weekend. Monday is recovery day and I have the day off from work, so I may try yoga or something if I'm not busy with other things.
Have a great weekend!!

Good Luck getting your workouts in this weekend. If you find any good recipes please pass them along. I am always looking for higher protein and less carbs.

Some simple protein snacks are a boiled egg, turkey ham rollups, hummus with your veges, pumpkin seeds, 100 calorie nut packs, peanut butter on celery or even low-fat or fat-free chocolate milk. This is just a few - there are a lot of good suggestions out on the net. I love cheese and string cheese, but I find I can only indulge a couple times a week because they tend to impede my weight loss - even the low fat variety. I do like the Laughing Cow ones tho, they don't seem to affect me the same. Neither does cottage cheese for some reason.

Thanks for the ideas NotAWatcher. Sometimes I forget about the good ol' standby's like cottage cheese and hummus. I haven't seen 100 calorie nut packs around here, but I'll have to keep my eye out, I do have some almonds, I'll just have to make my own packs for now. :)
