chaham's Journal, 14 Jan 14

My first question to myself staring in the mirror over the december holiday was "How on earth did you get this big?" Then blaming it on my genes, then on emotional eating (it has been a stress packed year) After considering all the possible answers I came to the conclusion that it can only be the things I'm eating and I desided that my towel hanger (the treadmill) should start doing what I paid for it to do and start recording my progress and my eating behavior.

I was stunned realising I need to lose 45kg to be the weight i weighed when hubby met me...hmmm only if I could fit into those Levi's that I simply can't get rid of.

I think that my biggest problem is when I eat (the time) and all people who can honestly say that they cook for their families at night and then pack in their dinners for the next days lunch, then while the family is busy eating your food that you worked to hard on cooking after you just came from working the entire day PLEASE let me know how you do it?

My day starts at 6:30am I get up get ready for work, work till 13:00pm have a quick lunch which includes Provitas or yogurt (YES I DIDN'T MENSION BREAKFAST)which is enjoyed at my desk at work. I get home - walk the treadmill till 18:00pm, Cook till 19:30pm and jump in bed by 22:00pm

I think I should start eating breakfast but then it is just more calories on the clock and I don't normally feel hungry till 11:00am? And I certainly can't force feed myself that time of the morning.

Tommorow is my weigh in day D DAY!!

Hi Hope you are well! I had a quick look at your food journal. Can I make a suggestion. Try to cut out the starchy white carbs. Rather use brown bread, brown rice etc. I have cut out white starchy carbs completely (my body just struggles to process them). I have not looked back, I can't believe how much better I feel and how much weight I have lost. I like to eat alot of protein and it keeps you fuller for longer. Snacks included biltong and almonds mostly. Good luck you can do it!
