Auburn fire's Journal, 16 Dec 08

Yeah, yeah. I got all excited about getting into the smaller size jeans before Thanksgiving and then I even continued to lose after Thanksgiving. Then I bought every special sweet there is that comes out only at Christmas time. Even though I really (really!) don't want to eat this stuff, it's almost like I have to just because it's the "thing" to do. I know that's totally wrong thinking, but maybe some of you out there can relate. I could use all the input and support I can get. I need some motivation!

I spent the last Saturday making Christmas cookies because if I didn't I would be a bad mom because we HAVE to have Christmas cookies. I bought eggnog because its Christmas and we Have to have eggnog. So yes, I know exactly what you are talking about. What I didn't have to do is eat the cookies or drink the egg nog. The cookies are gone in the egg nog is in the fridge unopened and I got the little bitty one so when we do open it, we all get one drink and its gone. That 10lb loss in your first month should be motivation enough! Great job. Get some exercise, take some vitamines, do what you need to do to get that energy up and you will stay motivated. Arent I just the fountain of encouragement this morning!
