Melissa- no, I think I might actually have sprained something. I have an appt for an x-ray later today to rule out a break because I have long term, and pre-existing damage in that spot.
I'm ridiculously irritated about the entire situation.

That is so rough... I'm so sorry. I too have had injuries that set me back. It is incredibly maddening... especially just when you are reaching a new fitness level. I'm hopeful for something simple and a quick recovery for you.

Melissa, thanks so much for the empathy and understanding. I do have a sprain and I may still have a cracked rib. It'll take a couple of days to show on the x-ray because I'm so small boned. So they're looking for the calcification that indicates a healing break. It's the same thing I went through with my ankle.
It mostly means that I have to take it very easy until things heal.

Shoot... Well, it will heal, and it isn't impacting your weight loss clearly! I hope you can fine a way to work out while healing that isn't as stressful and charging up the hill from hell but still keeps you moving. Good luck!
