Good Morning FS buddies!!
17 years!!! It hasn't been an easy road, but today my hubby and I celebrate 17 years together! You all know that we had a rough summer, but things are good now, and I am happy to be saying that we have made it this far, with high hopes to triple that length of time, if not more!!
I am sitting here this morning trying to come up with ideas of something we can do to celebrate this weekend. Schedules have been so crazy that I didn't plan anything in advance, but turns out that I have the weekend off, so now I'd like to go somewhere, but not drive too much...
So I'm back home and starting to really work hard on my transition, which will officially take place next Tuesday. I'll be working in my stores today and tomorrow since I'm in town, but not officially as the 'boss' until then. All of my managers found out yesterday, so I should be able to get a feel in the next couple of days on how it all went over. All of my peers are giving me nothing but support and congratulations, telling me that I will do great. I know that's supposed to put me at ease, but it almost adds pressure, knowing that so many think that I'll be fine-- what if it doesn't work out for some reason?... I think I'll be okay, too, but there's always that possibility....
Daughter goes for her first meeting about the modeling thing tomorrow. It looks like what it is is a fashion show at the school during a lunch break possibly. I'm hoping that maybe it could turn into more from that. She is home sick today, so hopefully she's feeling better by tomorrow to go to the meeting!
