At the end of last season, I bought several tops on clearance. By the time winter came, they didn't fit well because I'd picked up weight. I'm finally able to wear those clothes.
Of course, on the flip side of that, since I couldn't wear those at the start of the season, I picked up a couple new shirts on sale this winter. They are too large now.
This is why my closet is so full, and I have nothing to wear. LOL
