Oh, I just had so much jelly today.
After this sudden slow down over the last 3 days (from 74 to 73 over 3-4 days), I woke up this morning to a 72.25.
And then I spent the rest of the day breaking my 'clean' Induction.
Well it's nothing off plan and I know Jelly and cream are daily staples for most people on Atkins but I've never had either before. And of course, I never trust the companies. My Sugar Free Jelly has 1g Carbs per 100 g (1/4 of the entire portion) and 0g Sugar. And I had two servings, one at around tea time and then again after dinner.
Along with that, I had cream for the first time. It's called Fresh Cream (I have no idea what Heavy Cream is, nor where to get it) and the Nutritional Info says it has 3.2g Carbs per 100 ml and 0g Sugar. Now this has completely thrown me off. Isn't cream something that most people have liberally on Atkins? 100 ml is nothing! I mixed my jelly with some cream both times, around 100 ml the first time and another 200 ml after dinner. THAT'S 9.6 NC RIGHT THERE!! And here I was feeling guilty about yesterday's MIM adding 3 NC. Now, I never end up having enough Carbs, so even with today's 9.6 NC, I'm still at 18.10 but for a person who doesn't usually go over 10 NC (despite eating all the veggies I can stuff into myself), that's pretty scary.
Ok, so here's the thing, along with my slow down (I consider something to have gone wrong because it's unusual for me lose at such a slow rate just on Day 6 of Induction!) I suddenly started getting hungry. Not cravings exactly, because I wasn't even thinking of off-plan food but just ravenous. Which is really weird considering my appetite usually really disappears. I guess it's a good thing because at least this way I can get more veggies in. And in spite of that going against my instincts, everyone swears by it to lose faster. Besides, my all time high NC yesterday (well, before today anyway) was followed by this morning's awesome weight.
I don't know...I'm just worried about tomorrow's weight now. If the MIM felt like cheating, the 2 servings of jelly just feels like I've gone off plan completely! And I really hope it doesn't affect anything because I've never done Atkins with sweet substitutes/alternative muffins, etc and that's why it's gotten boring. If I can have this sort of stuff regularly, it really makes a difference and I'm positive I can make it to goal.
My hunger is still continuing...it feels like I can eat continuously, except I'll run out of Atkins-friendly food, so I have to leave stuff for later. I don't think it's real hunger (how much/often can I possibly eat?) and have a feeling it's something to do with all the recipes and pictures I've been browsing over the last few days. That's what I get for trying to explore and experiment with this plan! Linda's to blame! :)
I really hope that today's indulgences don't throw my loss off completely...all the expensive sugar free stuff I bought would be a complete waste then. I'm still too scared to touch my American Garden Light Mayo because everyone's told me about how 'Light' means Carbs and despite the label saying 1g Carb per tablespoon and 0g Sugar, the ingredients below lists Sugar! :O Don't know what to do, it was so expensive...and it's not like I'm spoilt for choice with diet products here...that was the only 0g Sugar I found in that whole damn overpriced, imported products store! :/
Anyway, got a tonne of work for tomorrow and about 3 hours to do it in. Please let my weight have dropped tomorrow, even though it feels like I've gained today!
PS: Don't even get me started on Diet Coke. It's the only thing in my Cafeteria that I can presumably have but I still have some major trust issues with the labels (0 EVERYTHING), just as I have trust issues with the labels of my Sugar Free Jelly and Fresh Cream and Mayonnaise. And my MIM of course. I think it's because I keep reading these debates about it on all the forums...sigh, anyway, I just need to see if these things stall/slow anything...and then I can take a call for myself. (This really isn't the best time for me to be experimenting though...got a conference coming up in a week, gotta fit into my old formals, and buy a couple of skirts if possible. Hmm, let's see.)

Heavy cream, is Heavy Whipping Cream. It has 0 grams of carbs. I am not sure where you are, and it is possible that where you are they don't have it.
