Hey FS friends, what are some "healthy" desserts that are your favorite?

I'm looking for ideas that use mostly natural sugar from fruits and vegetables, or recipes with as little sugar as possible. (Trying to avoid using sugar substitutes as well as artificial sweeteners).

My favorite dessert these days are Outshine Fruit Bars. They're like a popsicle but made with real fruit. They range from 35 to 70 calories. I also enjoy the creamy mango at 90 calories.

Activia layered with fruits, raw honey and organic rolled oats.

Also, little mini toasts with goat cheese, raw honey and a walnut 👌🙌😋🤤

More great suggestions, honey has such a nice favor, too. I'll have to check those fruit bars out, that sounds like a great snack for on the go.

You can make banana bread with no added fat or sugar. I will look for the recipe. It’s obviously not as good as with it but it doesn’t really need it.

Banana bread is great!

https://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/banana_bread/ This is basically the recipe I use but I use 1/2 cup applesauce (usually cinnamon flavored) instead of butter and 1/4 cup honey instead of sugar. I also add 1 - 2 tsp of cinnamon and 1/4 tsp nutmeg.

Sauteed bananas in butter with a little cinnamon topped with some toasted walnuts or peanuts.

A simple plate of in season fruit, cheese, nuts and drizzle of local honey is an easy and satisfying dessert. Also if you add dates to anything, so good! When we eat at one of our favorite Italian restaurants, we order (from the appetizer or salad menu) melon slices wrapped in prosciutto. So tasty and not a heavy dessert. Have fun. 😊

Dates are a good idea, I'll have to implement those in my diet for sure!

There are a lot of keto desserts which have no sugar or they use stevia. I like GnomGnom.com

Sugar isn't necessarily BAD, it's just not the best choice especially when there are so many options. One of my favorite deserts is apple slices sprinkled with cinnamon and cloves.

1. Acorn squash, split in half, basted in 1 Tbs melted light butter and 1 Tbs brown sugar, sprinkled with pumpkin spice, then roasted in a 400 degree oven for about an hour. 122 cals for 1/2 a squash. So yummy. Similar to pumpkin pie, but without the crust and creaminess. Still good.
