My son is my stress factor this week. He's 14 months old and so testing my limits! Of course daddy pretty much lets him do whatever so I'm the mean one. I get all the temper tantrums and crying. The last straw was this morning as I was trying to change his poopy diaper and he was having a fit and kicking and crying. So I got his clean diaper on and put him in his crib and walked away. He ended up curling up and going to sleep for an hour and a half. But when he woke up and again I wanted to change his diaper, we had a repeat of earlier so back in his crib he went and I let him cry and carry on until he calmed down. He figures he can do what he wants and I'm trying to teach him to behave.

He is a cutie. If you are feeling alot of stress, there are some great parenting sites, where you can talk to other moms and get some ideas on how to deal with all the different issues that come up with kids (and there will be tons). I still go online and look up ways of handling problems I have with my kids sometmes. Some of the things work and some don't. It's all trial and error. Each child is unique. Good luck!

Someone told us that "Time Outs" can start at age 1. They said one minute per year. We did them early with my daughter and she's now 2 1/2 and fully understands what a time out is and that she doesn't like them. We always explain why she had a time out and tell her we love her and give hugs and kisses before she leaves the room. Also, I know how you feel, because I see our daughter give my wife more grief than she gives me. Z
