has anyone else had an issue with when you read a label it tells you the calories and everything about it but when you scan it it shows something different Like if the package says it has a hundred calories per serving but when you scan it it says there's a hundred and ten calories per serving which do you go by what the package says or what you scanned?

I go by the package but will choose the option closest; if it's something I'm going to eat routinely I'll enter my own version from the label or edit the existing entry.

Thank you.

I always go with the package info. It may be that, since the item was added to the FS food list, the mfr. may have changed the recipe or something like that. I edit the info to correct it if I've got the package in my hands.

Happens all the time for me. I go with the package info. Generally you can type the product in and find something close. Example: my soup tonight is 70 kcal 4g protein yet on FS it shows 60 kcal and 3g protein. Close enough for me as it was 15 kcal total difference for my 1.5 serving. If what you find is way off then you can input the information yourself ;).

Go with the highest number and you can’t go woe g. But make sure the measurements (grams) on the package match what is scanned. Then you can easily adjust the numbers to be accurate.
