I have had rye sunflower bread with avocado and tomato for breakfast and ate every crumb of it. Growing up in Poland on potatoes and bread doesn't help. I do miss my bread, but I keep strong. Not just for myself, we have made a major changes in our household diet and my partner and daughter are involved as well. It's easier together. Wishing everyone a lovely day.

I know your pain, bread is something I really miss too. tesco mini flatbreads are only 106 (ish) calories each and weight watchers wraps are 117 so I sometimes use though if I want something bready

thank you for your comment, Wingmirror. I will try to bake cloud bread with Greek yogurt today. apparently as delicious as the one with mascarpone cheese. I have to swap as my partner is trying to lower his cholesterol level so no saturated fats. Rye bread with sunflower from Lidl has around 100 cal per slice as well, but I believe rye is much better than wholemeal. I have recently discovered that some carbs and calories don't really cause a weight gain, for example millet grains ( cooked ) and millet flour ( can be used to make pancakes, waffles, etc ). I am a bit torn between counting calories and keto diet. keto have been successful for me in the past, but then I started eating carbs again in excess and I gained 4kg.

I baked them yesterday, 3 egg whites whisked until " cloudy ", then 1 egg yolk whisked with 3 table spoons of fat free Greek yoghurt ( I had to make modifications due to my partner's cholesterol levels, you can use all 3 yolks and full fat Greek yoghurt, mascarpone cheese or Philadelphia cheese ). then I carefully folded it all together. baked on baking paper for about 15 minutes. delicious, and your bran brain thinks you have carbs :)

Ah I see, I'll need to give it a go and learn to be careful when I fold it together. It sounds a bit like souffle.

Sort of the same technique, but easier and it's nice to see them raising in the oven. Excellent to add to your meal once in a while.
