Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow... as if I could stop it!?! Well, the blizzard of 2013 has started in CT, but I got up & out early & went to spin class, filled the gas cans & plugged in the generator (in case we need it), moved the cars, checked for flashlights, etc. Learning from past power outages, I'll next finish the laundry & run the dish washer. Hubby's flight from San Diego was canceled, so now he's en route through LA to DC & hopes to get a train from there. Wish him/us luck!
Had regular steel cut oats yesterday (instead of gluten free) as Day 1 of adding back wheat. Had some digestive issues (I'll spare you the details), a slight headache & was in a bad mood most of the morning (which could have been because I was out fighting the crowds prepping for the storm). Actually like the taste & consistency better of the gluten free which I had this morning. I'm actually struggling finding wheat items I want to add back... but given the results yesterday, maybe thats a good thing?!? Regardless, this scientist ain't giving up! Have a check-in call this afternoon with my health coach, so stay tuned.
And, stay warm & safe as the blizzard hits, my fellow storm chasers! I'll be praying through it --
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
And for this one storm, day, meal, bite, moment & emotion, I'll be praying, breathing, logging, posting & expressing. Bring it on, Nemo (I think thats what they're calling this storm)! xoxox
