Not much going on here-- Have to head out to work in a little bit. Had a pretty easy work day yesterday, then was able to get to the gym for 1/2 hour cardio and some legs and abs. Only problem was that with my schedule and my hubby's, we didn't eat dinner until 9:30! Oh well, the scale still shows me a drop this morning, so I'm okay with it. Trying to think of something I can make today with what I have available that won't take too long since we want to make a gym trip again, and today will probably be a later working day.

My 13 year old daughter came to me so excited yesterday. She has struggled with her weight since she was little-- she was born at 9 lbs 13 oz, and has always been big. I have not forced many changes on her, but with the types of food available in the house and things like my encouragement to walk places, etc., she is seeing a difference in herself-- she was able to wear a shirt yesterday that she hasn't fit into comfortably for over a year. I hope that feeling will help her continue to make good choices for herself. I was not overweight as a kid, but my youngest sister was and still has issues today, so I hope my daughter can get it under control while she is still young!

lol I was thinking about Erika and thinkin' "Like hell, she was a stick!" lol Then I remembered your other sis. ;) Great job on not making a big issue of her weight to her at such a tender age. It is something that I can only imagine leading by example as the best teacher. One of my main influences for hurrying up and getting the weight off, so I can be a good leader to my two girls, so they won't have this debilitating condition to deal with. Yes, dinners on the go, or eating well, when you're sposed to and work and workout all in a day... well that can be down right impossible sometimes!! I swear by the crock pot! Fill it up with meat, veggies, stock seasons and turn it on and then grab a cup before the workout?? I try to fill it at least once a week and try to fill on the go/freezer lunches for hubby to take to work or just have a quick meal to zap. Being a working mom, trying to lose weight is a timely quest! lol You're doing great! I used to hit a drive through for a salad after work on the way to the gym and have a lighter dinner after. But there's only so many hours in a day, I know! lylas xoxo

How wonderful that your daughter is reaping the benefits of your healthy lifestyle, too! You're setting a great example. Good luck scraping something together for dinner from what's on hand. Some of my best "creations" have been inspired by hunting through the cupboards. Enjoy your day!
