Just getting started today. I am desperate to lose weight. I am at my all-time high for weight and my all-time low for moving. I have been severely depressed for months and am just now starting to see the light again. I don’t really know how this app works, but I would love some support. Mostly from people that are looking to lose 100+ pounds, such as myself, but really from anybody. I have all the tools-I have spent hundreds of hours researching diet, health and exercise, so that is not my problem. My problem is that I am always giving up on myself and quitting! I know I can do this-I just figure that it doesn’t hurt to take advantage of all the tools I can utilize :)

The Beck Diet Solution by Dr. Judith S. Beck can help you change behaviors. It helped me. I lost 20 pounds without even starting a diet. It took me a long time to choose a diet; when I did I chose Eat to Live by Dr. Joel Fuhrman. It's not a diet for everyone, but it is a diet that works. You have to change for life though. Otherwise, it's up and down!

I am a little more than halfway through my 100 pound goal. ive started before, lost and gained it back. what worked this time was reminding myself that I only failed last time because I gave up. not to be nosey but I hope you are being treated for your depression. its a hell of a thing to tackle on your own

I also have 100+ pounds to lose. I was 284 when I started on this site 2 1\2 months ago. My current weight is 268. Slow and steady is my plan. I have already had setbacks, but promised myself this time I would not quit. This community is very supportive. I have found logging everything I eat to be the most helpful.
