I don't understand how my body loses weight. I stall for up to 2 weeks at a time and lose NOTHING and then in a matter of a couple days I'll lose 2-3 pounds all at once. Doesn't make sense to me. Hey, I'm glad for the loss. I was doing good at exercising and then injured my hip yesterday. You know you are getting old when all you have to do is stretch and you pull a muscle. All I can think is that my muscle in my left hip was tightened up because of the increase activity and swimming that I've been doing. When I was running errands yesterday my hip was hurting so I tried to stretch and rub it out and felt a tearing in my hip and it hurt really bad for a few minutes. I limped all day yesterday and chose to stay in today and rest the hip. It feels better, but is still sore. I thought I would have a big bruise on my hip, but nothing showed up. It's frustrating when simple exercises are causing me injuries. I'll have to talk with my doctor about this when I see him at the end of this month and see what he thinks. Maybe I should stick to simple walking in short periods of time? I could walk the dogs. They would love that.
My life style change is getting a little easier, but I still have my tough times. I seem to not be as obsessed by the scale anymore. I still weight myself a couple times a week, but don't freak out with the fluctuations. I've accepted that as a normal woman thing. People at work are starting to notice my weight loss. I tend to lose weight in my face first and that's why it shows. I plan to take a new picture of myself at Thanksgiving and I will post it for everyone to see. As of today I've lost 36.4 pounds.
